About us

Sweet Temptation Cakes, est 2017, based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. Run with heartfelt Passion, Nikkie French, the award-winning business owner, has taken Sweet Temptation Cakes from a home-based business to an entirely new level, not only in cake designing but in the beautiful location setting. With her vison and flare, along with a unique skill for detailing, Nikkie’s cake designs are loved by all.

We are a team consisting of Nikkie French, Creative Style Director & business owner, Debbie, Our Assistant Manager, Tony, Our Master Baker, and Abbie, Our Saturday Assistant.

Nikkie is a wonderful lady who goes above and beyond to ensure everyones ideas become reality. The cake was amazing and better then we could have imagined. From meeting Nikkie, consultation of trying lots of cake and buttercream, to our final meeting she became a good friend. The cake tasted beautiful and everyone commented on how nice it was. Her designs and skills are out of this world. Nikkie is very helpful, professional and an all round nice person.

We wanted a 60th birthday cake and we got an absolutely stunning cake. Not only did it look amazing it tasted amazing too and you definitely get your money’s worth. We had a lemon sponge and l everyone commented on how tasty and gorgeous the design was. I highly recommend and will definitely be ordering from them again in the future.

Great customer service, i gave her 2days notice so i wasn’t expecting much, clutching at straws a little to be honest BUT she made me tematoa from moana 3d cake for my little girls and it was fantastic. She was very friendly and helpful and even offered to drop us the cake off. Pricewise it wasn’t cheap but after shopping around her prices are cheap for what you get so it all depends how much you want to spend, 100% worth the money if you want something a little special. Would reccomend to anyone, and have i heard others having the same experience. 5 stars, thanks a lot! Oh yeah forgot to add, it was probably the best tasting birthday cake ive ever had. We went for the vanilla jam version for the traditional birthday cake flavour but she had a lot of variety.

Nikkie was diagnosed with high-level dyslexia six years ago. After always finding the simple tasks like reading and writing difficult, Nikkie still persevered with her career in the management sector, and despite dyslexia, consistently achieved her goals. Nikkie took to baking as an outlet in 2015, attending a 1-day class.

Nikkie found a new loved and embraced her newfound skillset. From that day, Nikkie booked more classes, even traveling the country to work with some of the best cake designers in the country. The passion grew, and so did the hobby.

In 2017 Nikkie left Her full-time job working at Royal Mail in HR and set up her business in Unit R at Staniforth works. Within six months, the company became so busy that Nikkie expanded and took the adjacent unit, Unit P., along with the extra space came our team members.
